More Than 1,000 Children Came to…

More than 1,000 children came to the camp at The Fortress Church in Port-au-Prince.

They played soccer, jumped rope,

They ate their national dish.

They heard the Word of God, and some responded to the call.

The school has been open since September 15 with 740 students, and thousands of books have been distributed.

Christmas in August.

Because armed gangs control the roads outside the capital, the gift boxes from the Samaritan’s Purse were able to make their way there well after Christmas. Gifts are rare in the lives of these children. They are like a torrential downpour on a scorching day. Children love to run in the rain to cool off, and they love gifts.

The school has 55 employees. Marica oversees the program in our absence, and she purchases books, uniforms, etc., and handles any issues very well. But I do not want to leave her alone with all the responsibilities.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion for the people of Haiti.
