I Was Sick…

Isaïe (13) was losing weight rapidly and couldn’t eat. An X-ray and another test revealed that he had tuberculosis. He went to the hospital and was prescribed six months of medication. He will complete the treatment at home under the periodic supervision of a doctor.

Diana (16), sponsored by CCP, underwent surgery to remove a benign lipoma several centimeters in size from her back. Thanks to your donations, we are able to provide this essential care to children.

Océan (14) was hit in the knee by a soccer ball, causing it to swell so badly that he could no longer bend his leg. He received the necessary treatment for his sprain.

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward. Mat 10, 42

My name is Winyfreud St Jean. I have a degree in education and I was sponsored by ChildCare Plus from kindergarten in 2006 through 12th grade in 2019. This program has been a true blessing for my family, because without this support, I might not have been able to finish high school.

I am currently a teacher at The Fortress Institution. I am also part of my Church committee and teach the word of God one Sunday a month. My family has 6 members, and only my father has not yet been baptized in water. My brother is a teacher at The Fortress and responsible for the Sunday School for children aged 2 to 6. Many young people in Haiti have already benefited from this program. However, with the current economic crisis, even more young people today need the support of ChildCare Plus. I express my gratitude to the CCP leaders as well as to the sponsors.

-It is said that there are fewer gunshots currently in Haiti. And the armed groups are suffering losses. The Gang Suppression Force (FRG) in Haiti began its deployment on April 1. The force will arrive in groups.

Prayer requests:

– That armed groups may repent or be defeated.

– That young people may convert and be baptized.

Thank you for your constant support. It is so encouraging. Our team is young but eager to make a difference.

Happy Easter!

-Every April, the APDC highlights the 4-14 Initiative, a strategic project based on the significant fact that children are most receptive to the Gospel between the ages of 4 and 14. Studies show that a child’s worldview is largely already formed by age 13, making these decisive years our best opportunity to lay a lasting foundation for their faith. We work primarily with children and youth.
